Embrace the Past! Using Past Work to Practice New Skills

Past student writing samples are a high-impact (but much underused!) resource that can be used to model well-executed strategies, help students identify and correct common errors, and build revising and editing skills. When used routinely, they also provide a tool for increasing student’s accountability and for tracking and assessing student progress. This workshop will show you how.
