About Jerry Morris
Jerry Morris is an associate of Collins Education Associates LLC in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Over the course of 37 years in public education, he taught at many grade levels, worked as a teaching assistant principal, and later as a director of curriculum. While most of his time was spent teaching English and language arts, he has taught math, science, and history. He spent 34 years in the classroom.
Among other things, Jerry has been a staff developer, a curriculum developer, a correspondent for The Boston Globe, a speaker at the Kennedy Library, a member of the history Assessment Committee for the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System, a visiting/adjunct professor at Fitchburg State College, a classroom user of Collins Writing Across the Curriculum for fifteen years, and a presenter of the program for over ten years. He is also the author of Seven Sentence Building Activities to Develop Advanced Writers. He is passionate in his belief that students learn how to write by understanding and practicing all the aspects of sentence writing.
