About Aaron K. Marsh
Aaron K. Marsh is an educator, researcher, and former school leader who is passionate about helping teachers and administrators translate educational theory into meaningful classroom practice. Drawing on experiences that span K–12 schools, district leadership, and higher education, Aaron brings a practical perspective grounded in both scholarship and real-world application.
Aaron is a doctoral student in Mathematics Education at Indiana University, where he serves as an Associate Instructor in the School of Education. His professional experience includes roles as a mathematics teacher, department chair, assistant principal, district coordinator of mathematics and business, and university instructor. Across these positions, he has worked to strengthen curriculum, instruction, assessment, and leadership practices that improve learning opportunities for students and educators alike.
With more than 15 years in education, Aaron has taught courses ranging from middle school mathematics to Advanced Placement Calculus and Statistics. He has also taught undergraduate mathematics content and methods courses, as well as graduate-level courses in educational leadership. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Aaron has led district-wide initiatives focused on curriculum development, instructional coaching, professional learning, and school improvement.
Aaron’s research examines mathematics teacher learning, disciplinary and interdisciplinary thinking, educational leadership, and equitable mathematics instruction. His work seeks to bridge the gap between research and practice by generating insights that are both academically rigorous and immediately useful to educators. Whether working with preservice teachers, classroom practitioners, or school leaders, Aaron is committed to fostering thoughtful reflection, continuous growth, and meaningful learning experiences for all students.
